Java without the Palaver

Medley is able to integrate browser-based interfaces and application output into a coherent user interface. Where you have operators that needs to access a variety of different on-line and inhouse applications and need to cross-reference between them, Medley can integrate the work-flow so that complex tasks become simple. The end result is less mistakes and higher productivity.

The schematic diagram below shows the basic operation of the system.

All access to the systems from the terminals is via the Medley server. The user connects to the Medley server using their browser. They will then see the configured opening page. This will allow them to navigate to the required system.

Where a system supports WSDL (Web Services Definition Languange) then Medley can be configured to take the data from the remote system and present it to the user through the use of standard templates.

As with WSDL, a JDBC or ODBC compliant database can be accessed and the data presented to the user through the use of standard templates.

Medley is a Proteus2 application.
